Linda Dahlem

Director | Writer | Producer

Linda was born in one of the smallest countries in the world, Luxembourg. At an early age, she became fascinated by the unique world of cinema which offered her solace and connection, thus making her feel truly understood and never alone. This vivid interest led her to devote her life to the complex art of filmmaking and in turn create the same sanctuary for others. She strives to tell stories from unseen or overlooked perspectives and delve deep into uncharted territories of human emotions.

Linda holds a BA in Visual & Motion Design from BTK Berlin and an MFA in Directing for Motion Pictures and Television from AAU in San Francisco. She began her career in Production for Music Videos, Commercials, and Feature Films, and has supported projects from pre to post-production in Berlin, Luxembourg, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Working in production quickly introduced her to Directing and Production Design, two worlds she continuously combines. Linda’s Directing work is heavily influenced by mythology, symbolism, and the seamless integration of characters within their environment, which is where her eye as Production Designer has been instrumental. She has been working as a Production Designer for over a decade and has recently joined I.A.T.S.E Local 44 as Set Decorator. Linda's Directing work has been screened at numerous festivals including the San Francisco Independent Film Festival, Lady Filmmakers, Poppy Jasper International Film Festival, and the Women In Film Los Angeles Shorts Night.

Rick Rifle

Production Designer

Rick first became aware of design shortly after the original Star Wars came out. Like most kids, he wanted those toys and was lucky enough to have parents that obliged (to a degree). He spent hours coming up with new plots and storylines, re-enacting them with his land speeder, sand crawler, and assorted action figures. Ultimately, his assortment of toys wasn’t quite fitting the scope of his imagination and so he did what most (as yet unknown) burgeoning juvenile designers did: he made his own “set pieces” to flesh out the adventure! Glass cigar tubes would become columns for a palace on Alderon, assorted bottles, and containers were a distant cityscape on a yet-unknown planet, and when he got tired of Princess Leia having only one costume, he found that some toilet paper tape and scissors could create a vast wardrobe fit for a royal visit to Cloud City. Occasionally his metaphors would get mixed and the Micronauts or a team from Battlestar Galactica would find their way into the storyline.

Fast-forward to today and he’s still making his fantasies into reality. He pursued theatrical design at Florida State University which instilled in him a serious appreciation for strong characters and good storytelling. Later, he added design for film at New York University. He occasionally dabbles in costumes and (whenever possible) likes to draft is own sets, build his own models, and paint his own renderings. If he’s really lucky (and time permits) he gets to do some of his own scenic art or make a specialised prop or two! A background in theatrical design is hard to shake!
